My Sheikh Online – Official Nikah Services (Now offering Online & In-Person Ceremonies)

A Sacred Beginning

“Among His signs is that He created for you spouses from among yourselves so that you may find tranquillity in them, and He placed between you affection and mercy. Indeed in that are signs for people who reflect.”

– Qur’an 30:21

Nikah is not just a legal agreement — it is a sacred covenant, a bond of love and mercy, and the beginning of a new chapter based on faith, trust, and mutual commitment. It is a Sunnah of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم and a vital step in building a life of purpose, companionship, and righteousness.

At My Sheikh Online, we offer both in-person and online Nikah services, professionally handled by qualified scholars who are well-versed in Islamic principles and the realities of modern life. We aim to make the process smooth, respectful, and rooted in authentic Islamic teachings.

Whether you’re nearby or across the globe, our team is here to guide and support you.

What We Offer:

  • Tailored Nikah services (in-person or online)
  • Experienced and trusted scholars
  • Step-by-step guidance on Islamic and legal aspects
  • ID verification and witness facilitation
  • Clear, simple explanations of Islamic terms such as:
    • Mahr (mandatory dowry agreed upon by the couple)
    • Wali (the bride’s male guardian – usually her father; required for her first marriage. If she is divorced, widowed, or of mature age without a living Wali, most scholars permit the Nikah with safeguards)
    • Witnesses (two adult Muslim men are required to validate the Nikah)
  • Transparent process with respect for privacy and legality

Online Nikah Service

At My Sheikh Online, we recognise that circumstances may not always allow couples to attend in person. For this reason, we offer a professional Online Nikah service, overseen by qualified Islamic scholars. Our service ensures your marriage is conducted with dignity, authenticity, and in full compliance with Islamic law, while also accommodating the realities of modern life.

Islamic Validity of Online Nikah

Islam lays down clear requirements for a valid Nikah:

  • Consent of both bride and groom.
  • Wali (guardian) for the bride, where required.
  • Two reliable Muslim witnesses.
  • Agreement on mahr (dowry).
  • Ijab & Qabul (offer and acceptance) performed clearly before witnesses.
  • Khutbah

These conditions can be fulfilled online using a secure live video platform, provided all parties are present at the same time and can see and hear each other.

The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

“There is no marriage without a wali and two witnesses.” (Tirmidhi, Abu Dawood)

This hadith highlights the essentials of Nikah — which can be observed virtually. Many contemporary scholars and Islamic councils have confirmed that online Nikah is valid so long as these conditions are met.

Appointment of Wakil (Representative)

In cases where the bride wishes, she may appoint her wali or one of our qualified scholars as her wakil (representative) to conduct the Nikah on her behalf.

  • This must be authorised in writing and signed before the Nikah.
  • The bride must also confirm her consent verbally during the live call.

Step-by-Step Online Nikah Procedure

The couple or their family contact us to request an online Nikah.
Our scholar will explain the process, requirements, and important Islamic and legal points.
You’ll then receive a checklist and all necessary forms.

Both partners submit valid photo ID (passport, driving licence, or BRP).

Note: IDs must also be shown live during the video call.

The bride completes and signs the Declaration of Consent.
If she is appointing a wakil, the Wakil Appointment Form must also be submitted.

A date and time are agreed.
Witnesses and the wali (if applicable) are confirmed.
Payment is made in line with our cancellation policy.

Before the ceremony, the scholar confirms:

  • Consent of both parties
  • Identity of the bride, groom, wali, and witnesses
  • Agreement on mahr (dowry)

The Nikah is conducted via a secure video platform (Zoom or Google Meet).
Attendees: the bride (or her wakil), groom, wali (if required), two Muslim witnesses, and the scholar.

Process:

  1. The bride (or her wakil) makes the ijab (offer).
  2. The groom responds with qabul (acceptance).
  3. Witnesses confirm they heard both statements.
  4. The scholar announces the Nikah as complete.
  5. A short dua is recited and marriage advice is shared.

A digital Nikah certificate is issued right after the ceremony.
A physical copy can be requested if needed.

Couples are reminded that while the Nikah is Islamically valid, it must also be registered separately with the UK Registry Office for civil/legal recognition.

  • Payments are non-refundable unless cancellation is made at least 3 days before the Nikah date.
  • A £25 admin fee applies to early cancellations.
  • Rescheduling without 3 days’ notice will be treated as a cancellation.
  • If we cancel (except due to false or misleading information), a full refund will be issued.
