Marriage is a divine trust—a bond rooted in mercy, affection, and tranquillity. But every couple, even the most righteous, may face trials. At MySheikhOnline, we offer qualified, confidential, and Sharia-compliant counselling and mediation to help Muslim couples and individuals navigate challenges, repair relationships, and make informed, faith-based decisions.
Guided by the principles of the Qur’an and Sunnah, our approach combines Islamic wisdom with professional care—ensuring the process is dignified, compassionate, and tailored to your unique situation.
Your first appointment will include two individual 30 to 35 minute sessions—one for the husband, and one for the wife. This allows each party to speak freely and without interruption.
We’ve learned that starting with a joint session can sometimes lead to unproductive conflict—due to emotional reactions, interruptions, body language, or sensitive topics. This private time allows the counsellor to understand both perspectives clearly and build trust with each individual.
After the individual sessions, the counsellor will arrange a follow-up joint session, where both parties come together for a guided discussion. This is a crucial stage where we aim to create a safe, respectful space for open and constructive dialogue.
In this session:
Please note: Our mediators offer their observations based on what you share. They may highlight faults or oversights from either party—not to place blame, but to help you see what may have been missed and each other’s perspective, to guide you toward fairness, accountability, and healing. We kindly advise both parties to approach this with openness and humility.
The purpose of this joint session is not to debate or win, but to listen, reflect, resolve and move forward. We aim to protect the emotional well-being and dignity of both spouses, and to help restore peace and understanding—where possible—with the help of Allah.
We hope, with Allah’s help, to lay the foundation for clarity and reconciliation within the first two sessions. However, in some cases, additional sessions may be necessary and are available upon request.
